Travel Advisor - Your Travel Friend for Life:

Travel Advisor with Magical Wishes Travel
Let’s face it, we live in a busy society. Workweeks often span more than 40 hours, and our families pull us in many directions. In addition to those stressors, there is the added pressure of trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle by fitting in workouts, grocery store runs, volunteering, etc. It all adds up to leaving you drained at the end of the day.
If we’re lucky, we get a few weeks a year to spend relaxing, and often this means taking a vacation. Sure, you can spend your free time researching the best location and the best deals, but who has time for that? Enter the travel advisor. Our job is to help you relax before, during, and even after your trip. jamie@MagicalWishesTravel.com
Benefits of Using a Travel Advisor
1. I Do the Research So You Don’t Have To!
It takes a lot of hours to plan the perfect vacation, especially if you don’t know the area. It can be overwhelming. Travel advisors do this research for a living; it’s our job! I work with suppliers of resorts and locations around the world to better understand the culture, the most desirable locations, the best tours, etc. I take training courses hosted by suppliers and countries to become the expert so you don’t have to. I take familiarization trips to these locations to see everything firsthand, so when you arrive, I can tell you what to expect. I know the best rooms on the property, the best restaurants to eat at, the best pools, etc. I know what I sell, which makes your trip seamless. This is knowledge that you cannot gain by just visiting a website on your own. It took me years to build up this knowledge from my first-hand experiences. I’ve been in the industry for well over a decade!
2. I Know the Industry!
Experienced travel advisors know travel. Just like you want your doctor to spend years in medical school to know the best diagnosis for you, a travel advisor spends their time getting to know everything about the travel industry. I get to know resort managers, business development managers, airline protocols, cruise ships, theme parks, and more. I know what resorts will be best for you and your family because I have visited them. I create itineraries for travel in Europe and Asia that will allow you to see everything you want and throw in surprise elements that will be unforgettable. I know which cruise lines give you exactly what you want, from a party atmosphere to quiet and serene. I know the resorts in the Caribbean with the best beaches. I know all of these things because I have invested my time to know!
One of the major benefits of knowing the travel industry so intimately is that if a problem arises while you’re traveling, I know who to call to help solve it. If you’re having a room issue, a tour problem, a medical emergency even - I will be there to help by reaching out to my already established contacts. Often, I fix the issue without having to involve you (the guest) any more than necessary, so you can go on enjoying your vacation worry-free.
3. I Find the Best Vacation for Your Budget!
People often ask travel advisors if we can get them a deal. The truth to this answer is that a travel deal you find on a bargain website is often too good to be true. You often end up at a low-star resort in a room looking over an inner rooftop area. What a seasoned travel agent will do is find the right resort, cruise, or tour that fits not only your budget but also your needs. I will find the best price, and if a discount comes out, I will apply it, but my goal is to get you in the resort that is the best price for you to begin with, so you don’t need to find a “deal” that is too good to be true. I am always looking out for you and put your travel needs first.
4. I Listen to You!
As your travel advisor, when you first come to me for your trip, I like to get to know what makes you and your family happy. I ask questions to help narrow down what you want in your trip, such as what is most important in a resort, what you most want to see in a city or country, what expectations you have for your trip, if you have food allergies or mobility restrictions, etc. By taking the time to get to know you and listen to you, I can create a trip that is specialized to just you and your family.
Perhaps you want to go on a family cruise, and in our conversations, I find out that you love to dive. I can then pick a cruise line and itinerary with port excursions that would allow you to go diving for the day.
Maybe you’re taking a trip to Europe, and I find out that it’s a goal to visit as many countries as possible. I can suggest an itinerary that would not only have you visiting Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal, but also San Marino, Andorra, and Monaco - squeezing in three more countries to check off your list that would not be too far out of your way. (If you’re stopping to look up San Marino and Andorra - we definitely need to talk.)
As your travel advisor, my job is to listen to your wants and needs and create a vacation that is worry-free. I want to make sure your trip is the best it can be!

5. I Create a Lasting Bond!
My goal as your travel advisor is to create a bond with you. Often, we are planning for months at a time. When you call me or email me to ask a question, the benefit of having a dedicated travel advisor is that I already know you and your trip. You don’t have to repeat or explain anything to me like you would to a random person at a call center. I am there for you each and every day and throughout your trip as well. When your current trip is complete, and you’re ready to plan the next one, I already have your file with your trip needs, likes/dislikes, preferred transportation, special dates such as birthdays and anniversaries, etc. This makes planning a breeze for you for future trips!
Let’s Plan Together
So if you haven’t used a travel advisor before, what are you waiting for? The benefits far outweigh any stress of planning on your own. I know many of you like to do the planning and find it fun, and I love these clients, too. If you often plan on your own, I still want to help, as I am sure I can offer additional assistance that you haven’t thought about. It doesn’t cost you anything extra to use a travel advisor than booking on your own. The travel industry already builds our commission into their prices, and you’re paying the same whether you use a travel advisor or not. If you book with an experienced travel advisor, the supplier pays the commission to the travel advisor. If you book directly with the supplier, they keep that commission as their profit. So either way, you’re paying the same price. Why not get the peace of mind of having a travel industry professional helping you along the way? It would be my honor to assist you with your travel plans.
